One MCP and API for content and search data: AI visibility, rankings, citations, SEO keywords, and trends.

Give Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Claude.ai, and Claude Cowork live content and search data, with developer-mode plugin options for Codex and ChatGPT. QUESTIONS

MCP server, REST API, billing, and AI search data, answered.

Yes. Most customers use Cite42 for content and search research, not only brand tracking. Run SEO keyword and Google Trends lookups, map buyer prompts, find content opportunities, audit citations, or compare competitors through MCP or REST. AI rankings are one endpoint in a larger API.
Same category, different pricing model. Incumbent AI visibility platforms start around $89/mo on monthly contracts. Cite42 is MCP and REST API first: pay per call from $0.01 per model, $25 minimum top-up, credits never expire.
Both use the same data and billing. Call the REST API with a Bearer key from your own code, scripts, or backend. Install Cite42 in Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Claude.ai, or Claude Cowork when you want your agent to pick the right endpoint from plain English. Codex and ChatGPT also work through developer-mode plugins.
MCP workflow tools combine multiple Cite42 primitives: search, rankings, keywords, trends, citations, Reddit, YouTube, and more. The workflow price is calculated from the endpoints it uses and how many AI models you ask it to check.
Close, not identical. We call each model's official API with web search enabled. That tracks strongly with consumer answers for trend and citation research, but browser apps add personalization and memory the API does not replicate. Every serious tool in this space works the same way.
If two customers send the same prompt to the same models on the same day, we cache the provider response and serve both. That keeps per-call pricing low. Common prompts often see high cache hit rates at scale.
Prepaid credits never expire. Reading your balance, pricing, and call history is free. Successful data calls are billed at the listed rate, including responses served from cache.
Cite42 uses prepaid credits instead of a subscription. The smallest top-up is $25, credits never expire, and the signup credit lets you test live calls before adding money.
A verified signup credits $1 to your account. That is enough for two or three full rankings calls across all five models at $0.22 each, or several keyword and trend lookups. One grant per account; not stackable.
A minimal dashboard for credit balance, API keys, and usage logs. The product is the MCP server and REST API. We do not build a heavy analytics UI.
